Since 2021, Krafton has been presenting and researching deep learning as an area where we will continue to
make new challenges and expand our new game production capabilities. To gain momentum, we are
making active investments through recruiting essential talent.
[Vision of the Deep Learning Division]
Krafton¡¯s Deep Learning Division, based on AI research, aims to develop our own unique services while
collaborating with in-house and external teams of various domains to provide AI solutions that can solve
a variety of problems. Our two main goals are as follows:
Improve game production efficiency and universality by developing deep learning technologies useful for
game production
Develop a virtual friend and apply it to diverse areas inside/outside our games using deep learning technology
[R&D]
The Deep Learning Division engages in deep learning R&D of technologies necessary for game production
and virtual friend development, such as NLP, Vision & Animation, STT/TTS, and RL technologies. We are also
researching foundation or lightweight models that can effectively cover all areas, as well as multimodal
models where each of these technologies can be freely combined.

Members in the Deep Learning Division are not tied to their own tasks but are encouraged to actively
communicate and collaborate with members from different projects to share creative ideas for various
problems. We have members of various cultural backgrounds and are providing all the necessary support to
lower any language barrier for active communication.
